Title: Gina's Shrimp Scampi Angel Hair Pasta Recipe
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 50 minutes
Yield: Serves 4-6
Ingredients:
- 1 pound angel hair pasta
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1: Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: In a large skillet or wok, melt butter over medium heat. Add olive oil and garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. If using, add red pepper flakes and cook for another minute until slightly spicy.
Step 3: Add shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until pink and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 4: In the same skillet, add the cooked pasta and toss with the butter and olive oil mixture until well coated. Add the cooked shrimp to the pasta and toss again.
Step 5: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top and serve immediately. If desired, serve with lemon wedges and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. Enjoy!
