Sticky Toffee Pudding Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
Step 2: In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
Step 3: Add the softened butter and milk to the dry ingredients and mix until you have a smooth batter.
Step 4: Stir in the vanilla extract and pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Flatten it out with a spatula and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 5: While the pudding is baking, make the toffee sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the packed light brown sugar and ½ cup heavy cream. Stir well and place over medium heat.
Step 6: Cook the mixture for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the sauce is thick and syrupy.
Step 7: Once the pudding is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
Step 8: Make holes in the top of the pudding with a skewer or toothpick. Drizzle the toffee sauce all over the pudding and let it soak in for a few more minutes.
Step 9: Serve the sticky toffee pudding warm, with some extra toffee sauce on top if desired.
Enjoy your delicious and easy sticky toffee pudding!
