Fried Country Ham with Red Eye Gravy Main Dish Recipe
Ingredients:
* 1 lb country ham, sliced into thick pieces
* 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
* 4 tbsp butter
* 3 cloves garlic, minced
* 1/2 cup chopped onion
* 1/2 cup chicken broth
* 1/2 cup milk
* 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
* Salt and pepper, to taste
* Hot sauce (optional)
* Sliced bread or crackers for serving
Instructions:
1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and pepper.
3. Dredge each ham slice in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
4. Melt butter in the skillet and add garlic and onion. Cook until softened, about 2 minutes.
5. Add the dredged ham slices to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
6. Remove the ham from the skillet and set aside.

- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup tomato ketchup
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste

1. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for about 5 minutes or until softened.
2. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
