  • • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • • 4 cups vegetable broth or water
  • • 1 cup heavy cream or milk (optional)
  • • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • • Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (optional garnish)
